Hira Nathan's inspirational guided journal, based on mātauranga Māori, to establish simple daily habits and live a more balanced and intentional life.

Mā te mātau ka ora te iwi... Through knowledge, the people will thrive.

Engage with key aspects of mātauranga (knowledge) – manaakitanga (hospitality and kindness), kaitiakitanga (care and connection with the land), mauri (life force), rangatiratanga (collective leadership and self-determination), tikanga / kawa (customs and behaviour) and whanaungatanga (relationships).

Mātauranga has a past, a present and a future, and throughout this pukapuka you will learn how to apply mātauranga every day to create your own stories of change and growth, with space to record your unique reflections of the journey you wish to go on.

This pukapuka is easy to use – take as little as a few minutes to fill it in each day or reflect more deeply and spend a little longer. Kei a koe te tikanga, it is up to you.

Build a bridge between mātauranga and the modern challenges of today to cultivate wellbeing, and purpose and live a more complete, happy and harmonious life.

Ko te manu e kai ana i te miro, nōnā te ngahere. Ko te manu e kai ana i te mātauranga, nōnā te ao. The bird that partakes of the miro berry owns the forest. The bird that partakes of knowledge owns the world.
